I’m not complaining, mind you. Watches have simply morphed into something different — less objects to covet and collect, and more vehicles to new experiences and mementos of past ones. I’ve learned that it’s OK to admire a great watch from afar — at one of pas cher hublot montres the shows, on someone else’s wrist, or pas cher tag heuer on Instagram — without having to scheme how to get one for myself.
